JIO vs BSNL: AFTER ALL, WHY ARE BSNL CUSTOMERS RETURNING TO JIO?
JIO vs BSNL: After the expensive mobile networks, such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea raised the prices in July, those service providers’ customers started using the network of the BSNL company, the government telecom. However, now many problems exist with the BSNL network, and besides, this company does not also have network 4G.
Thus, all people, who previously changed the service operator and were using BSNL, now have returned to Airtel and Jio, according to Economic Times. It is the information reported by analysts and shopkeepers.
JIO vs BSNL: The network is poor in the village too
In the village areas of India, many people have started changing BSNL into Airtel and Jio again. These changes are taking place as BSNL’s network is not good and 4G is weak too. In addition, Vi does not provide the 5G service as well. Thus, all people think that Airtel and Jio are the most appropriate.
Moreover, many people are returning from BSNL to use the Jio and Airtel services. IFL Securities through a research note said, “The number of customers, who had migrated to BSNL post-pricing hike by top 3 (private) Telcos in July, has reduced now. Few customers have indicated an exit, as the network quality of BSNL was poor”.
In early July, 11% to 25% price hikes forced Jio, Airtel, and Vi to lose 758,000, 16.9 million, and 14.1 million subcribers respectively by the end of July. The number of customers migrating to BSNL has exceeded 2.93 million, as the company did not raise prices. However, it is a matter of the past that now the people are returning to BSNL due.
The latest TRAI data shows that BSNL has added nearly 93,000 new customers in September, down from 2.93 million in BSNL in July. Moreover, BSNL plans are much cheaper than Jio and Airtel. For example, say analysts, BSNL’s Rs 199 plan is provided daily for just 28 days at Rs 2, which is 43 per cent cheaper than a plan of Rs 349 from Jio and 47 per cent cheaper than Airtel’s Rs 379.
